New Loyalty Solution on all Foodics Products (Limited Clients)

We’re thrilled to introduce a powerful new Loyalty Solution, fully integrated across all Foodics products, including the Cashier, Call Center, Customer Display, and Waiter App, as well as Online Platforms. Now, customers can effortlessly collect loyalty points from any channel and redeem them at any touchpoint. The best part? Customers can redeem points for actual cash, functioning just like a digital wallet!

To make loyalty programs even more flexible, we’ve added a Tier Management module for Marketing. This new module allows you to:

  • Create and manage loyalty tiers effortlessly
  • Customize tier names, benefits, and requirements
  • Personalize tier colors, images, and other details

Points are automatically collected with every order placed through Foodics if you have the new loyalty solution enabled.

You can now access all loyalty details right in the Customer Profile, providing insights such as:

  • Total loyalty points
  • Cash equivalent value of points
  • The tier the customer belongs to
  • And much more!

Cashier users can now redeem loyalty points with cash directly at the cash register, processing transactions smoothly based on the customer’s request.

If you have a Customer Display screen, customers can conveniently redeem loyalty points directly from the device without involving cashiers. They can:

  • Enter their phone numbers
  • View their current points balance
  • Decide how much to redeem

Call center agents now have the option to manage loyalty interactions effortlessly. They can:

  • View customer loyalty details during calls, including points balance, cash value, and tier information
  • Redeem loyalty points for customers, processing cash or loyalty transactions directly through the system
  • Offer customers personalized insights about their loyalty status, tiers, and redemption options

Adding to that, customers who choose to pay via a link from the Call Center also have the option to view and redeem their loyalty points.

Beyond the above features, loyalty redemption is now available across all Foodics touchpoints, including:

  • Waiter App
  • Kiosk
  • Online Apps
  • And more!

Critical Enhancement for Which Discounts Will Appear In The Cashier Application

Next cashier update will introduce a critical enhancement to the cashier application, ensuring improved control and security for the operations of the discounts.

Discounts linked to coupons will now be hidden from the cashier's discount selection screens, both at the order level and the product level. This change ensures that only authorized coupon usage can apply these specific discounts, preventing any circumvention of coupon limits.

This update prevents unauthorized use of discounts linked to coupons, maintaining the integrity of coupon limits. Branch managers can ensure that only valid, authorized discounts are applied by cashier users.

User Preparation:

To prepare for this update, please review your discounts list in the console. Ensure that the discounts you want to keep showing in the cashier application are not linked to any coupons. If you find a discount that is linked to a coupon it will not be shown in the Cashier anymore. Console users will need to create a new discount that is not associated with a coupon.

If you want to double check, you can use this link to verify the discounts that will remain in the Cashier and the discounts that will be removed via these links:

  • For the discounts that will be removed from the Cashier: Click Here
  • The discounts that will remain in the Cashier: Click Here

Any future discounts that get linked to a coupon will be removed from the Cashier in order to apply them via a coupon only.

Force Sync Cashiers from Console

We are introducing a powerful new feature that allows managers/users to bulk send sync notifications to one, multiple, or all selected devices from the console. This enhancement will significantly streamline the process of ensuring devices are synchronized with the latest settings and parameters.

To prevent overwhelming cashiers with multiple notifications, we have implemented an hourly restriction. This means that a force sync notification can be sent to a device only once per hour.

As a manager, you can now bulk select multiple cashiers and initiate a force sync with a single button, eliminating the need to sync devices individually.

When a force sync is initiated from the Console, cashier users must sync their data to reflect the latest settings and any changes made on the Console.

Enjoy a more streamlined and controlled approach to sync devices in one, multiple or all branches with this latest update.

New Tipping Workflow in Cashier and Customer Display Screen (CDS)

We are excited to introduce the new enhanced Tips feature in the Cashier and Customer Display Screen (CDS) applications. This exciting upgrade streamlines the payment experience for both cashiers and customers.

Part 1: Cashier

Cashiers can now initiate payments with tips when tips are enabled in the business settings. This empowers customers to personalize their tipping preferences effortlessly.

Customers can easily select a tip on the CDS, and the tip amount is immediately sent back to the cashier, updating the payment amount. If tips are disabled, cashiers will proceed to add payments without waiting for CDS to enter tips.

Enabling the setting from the Console: In Console > Manage > Settings > Cashier Settings

Part 2: CDS

The Customer Display Screen (CDS) introduces a new and improved tipping experience for customers. You can now add tips to your order directly through the CDS app, providing the flexibility to adjust the total amount according to your preferences.

It's as simple as tapping on one of the tip percentages, and the chosen tip is instantly added to the total order price. Even if you make changes to your order, the selected tip percentage is reset, giving you the option to reapply the tip to the updated order total.

The chosen tip amount is displayed and added to the total payment amount, ensuring a convenient and flexible payment experience.

This screenshot below is from the CDS Application while the Cashier is waiting for the customer to enter tips:

Once the user taps on any of the tips buttons or enters a custom amount, the Cashier will process the payment accordingly.

Make sure to update your Cashier and Customer Display Apps to the latest version from the App Stores.

Requiring Customer Info Before Closing Orders

In this release 5.0.69, you will be able to control whether the Cashier can close orders without assigning a customer to the order, or not.

Based on a new setting in the Console > Cashier Settings. You can enable the "Require Customer Info Before Closing Any Order". If enabled, this will prevent the cashier from proceeding to the payment page without assigning a customer. The customer selection screen will appear for the cashier to select a customer and proceed with payment.

Syncing Cashier with Inventory Levels

The latest release of the Cashier App introduces a significant enhancement by integrating with the Inventory Levels Report API. With this new feature, the cashier app gains the ability to retrieve real-time stock product quantities from the API. This implementation allows the cashier app to provide accurate information about available in-stock quantities to the user, thereby preventing the sale of products that are not currently available. The integration will be configurable at the business level through the Foodics Console.

Glossary:

  • Stock Product: A product that is sold as is (without inventory items as ingredients) and is trackable in inventory.
  • Inventory Levels: Represents the current quantity and cost per inventory item in the system, per branch.

Cash Spot Check

We are excited to announce the release of a new feature in the Foodics Cashier App - Cash Spot Check! As an authorized cashier user, you can now perform a cash spot check at any time to ensure that the cash drawer has the correct amount of cash.

To perform a cash spot check, simply select **Cash Spot Check** from the Cashier Home Menu. A pop-up window will appear, asking you to confirm that you want to perform a spot check. Once confirmed, the cash drawer will open (or an error message will appear if the connected printer is offline), and you can enter the amount of cash in the drawer.

After entering the amount, a Spot Check Report will appear in the Cashier, showing the up-to-date cash amounts in the drawer based on today’s sales, as well as any shortage or surplus compared to the entered amount. You can print the report or return to the home screen to resume normal operations.

The Perform Spot Check button will only appear when there is an open till, and it will not appear when the till is closed. Additionally, the Cash Spot Check Print is similar to the Till Summary Report, but it includes the name of the authorized user who printed it.

A coupon by-product is a discount applied to products by a code you share with your customers, so they can buy products from your branches and get discounts on all products or certain products. By using this coupon code, your customers can get discounts on eligible products.

Coupon by product settings

  • Coupon Type: Depending on the coupon type, the system will show the list of discounts based on the selection. There are two types of coupons:
    • Product coupons: If the coupon type is a product, the system will only display discounts based on product qualification.
    • Order coupons: if the coupon type is an order, then the system will only show discounts based on order qualification.

  • Number of Products: The number of products setting will allow you to set the number of products that are eligible for the discount by coupon from the order

Note: the number of products settings will only be available for coupon type “Product”

In order to create coupons, you can either do it one at a time or use the bulk function to create coupons in bulk.

The flow of coupon by product:

  1. Open a new order, and add products to the order
  2. Select apply coupon from the cashier app or call center
